Lindsay Lohan Told Oprah She Doesn't Blame Her Parents but Here's Why She Should

During her hour-long interview last night, Lindsay Lohan told Oprah she doesn't blame her parents for the poor decisions she's made in her own life, which yeah, it's great she's taking ownership, but come on. If anyone deserves to share at least some of the blame, it's Dina Lohan and Michael Lohan. Those two are some of the worst adults on the planet, let alone parents. We're not saying that Lindsay should incriminate her mom and dad, but if she wanted to, here are 8 things Dina and Michael might have done to contribute to their daughter's rough 27 years.

They've Almost Done More Harm Than Good

During her hour-long interview last night, Lindsay Lohan told Oprah she doesn't blame her parents for the poor decisions she's made in her own life, which yeah, it's great she's taking ownership, but come on. If anyone deserves to share at least some of the blame, it's Dina Lohan and Michael Lohan. Those two are some of the worst adults on the planet, let alone parents. We're not saying that Lindsay should incriminate her mom and dad, but if she wanted to, here are 8 things Dina and Michael might have done to contribute to their daughter's rough 27 years.

The word 'Enabler' Comes to Mind

Ever since Lindsay became famous, her mother was in her shadow, just begging for a piece of the spotlight. To that end, she partied with underage Lindsay, and was even photographed making out with Lindsay at her 49th birthday party.

So does the phrase 'Fame-Obsessed'

In 2007, she took camera crews from Entertainment Weekly and The Insider along with her when she went to visit Lindsay in rehab. If Lindsay didn't learn right then and there that her mother's more concerned with getting the right shot than Lindsay's health, we'd be floored.

'Living Lohan', Ladies & Gentlemen

Back in 2008, Dina thought it'd be a good idea to star in a reality show called Living Lohan alongside her daughter Ali and son Cody. The point? To basically prove that she's not a terrible mother, which, obviously, LOL.

She seemed Hammered on 'Dr. Phil'

In September, 2012, Dina gave one of the most amazing interviews we've ever seen. Clearly not in the right "head space", Dina was basically the epitome of a delusional stage mother. There was, however, a silver lining: it was right then and there that we understood why Lindsay had problems.

Then there's this guy

Lindsay's father Michael was a troublemaker way before the family ever became famous. He was first arrested in 1990 and spent three years in jail for insider trading, and has subsequently been arrested eight more times for charges such as assault, DUI, and violation of probation.

When Not in Jail, He's Selling Stories about Lindsay

Lindsay told Oprah that she forgave her father for releasing to the press a phone conversation he had with Lindsay about Dina's unruly behavior, but man, that is low.

Or He's Appearing On a 'Murray' Spinoff

Most dad's of A-list celebrities wouldn't stoop to the level of a paternity test reveal on sleazy daytime talk show, but Mike's different like that. In 2012, he went on Trisha to learn that he has a 17-year-old love child named Ashley, who was sufficiently disgusted to learn the identity of her father, saying, "I don't want to be a part of the Lohan family train wreck."

Or Going on 'Celebrity Rehab'

He went on the VH1 reality show to receive treatment for alcoholism, and we can only assume he begged Lindsay to go on the reality show with him. Daddy daughter bonding time with Dr. Drew is something only he would see as appropriate.
