These LFW Invitations Are Kind Of Amazing

by Rosie Narasaki

There are a lot of reasons to want to go to London Fashion Week. The envy-inducing street style! The glamorous models, fashion editors, and designers (oh my!)! The possibility of running into Jenna Coleman as she scopes out looks for her next super fabulous Doctor Who promotional tour! But most of all? The London Fashion Week Invitations.

Yes, LFW definitely has a lot going for it, but one reason I didn't expect to want to jet off to London for a little piece of paper. I mean, I'd heard whispers that some designers go all out on them, but I had no idea just how all out they went — honestly, some of this year's invites were flat-out gorgeous. Mulberry's in particular blew up all over social media, gracing the Instagram accounts of just about every major British fashion publication (I'm looking at you, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle). Apparently, the brand is somewhat known for their invites — last LFW they sent out tiny pastel teacups decorated delicately with the Mulberry logo.

Anyway, this year's offerings were quite covetable; ranging from miniature couches (yes, you read that right) to leopard printed pink and green foam hand covers (you also read that right). Let's take a look!

Anya Hindmarch

Anya Hindmarch's Mickey-begloved invitations married minimalist presentation with cartoon quirk.

Ugg

Huh?? Fabulous, yet baffling. I'm sure this invite made a lot of fashion editors' 5-year-old daughters very happy.

Giles Deacon

Another strange one — but I must say, it definitely piques my interest in the collection! It's also kind of high fashion meets Lisa Frank.

Bora Aksu

Who doesn't love stickers?

Mulberry

... And the piece de resistance: fabulous, right? It's like class personified, and I can practically smell the pressed flowers through my computer screen.
