It's tough being the most hated member of SAMCRO. Sons of Anarchy club member Juice Ortiz (Theo Rossi) knows that better than anyone, because he's been in trouble with his own biker family more times than I care to count. Despite everything, I continue to root for the troubled, young club member until the last frame of his FX career.
Of course, the further we go into the final season of Sons of Anarchy, the more and more it seems certain that Juice is doomed. I've learned that any time Sons of Anarchy gives us hope (ahem, Tara's redemption, and ahem, every moment of Jax's entire time on the show) it smashes it with a bloody crucifix and tire marks all over the place. Juice is in great danger, even if he does currently have Wendy and Unser on his side.
But danger or no, Juice and his portrayer Theo Rossi are important pieces of the Sons of Anarchy family. No matter what his fate, it's about time we give the actor and his character some much needed love. After all, if he's going to continue being sad all over the final season, I'm guessing he could use the support.
How similar are Rossi and Juice? Not as similar as I'd like (maybe Juice would be safer this season if he was), but they share a few choice qualities:
For Starters, Theo smiles a lot more
Man, I wish we could see this side of Juice. Just once.
Juice looks like this all the time (albeit with good reason)
If your club and "family" wanted to kill you, you'd look like that too.
Theo takes time to appreciate the little things
Kinda makes you want to get into hiking, eh?
Juice is too busy trying to get the club back
And when Chibs of all people is giving Juice that kind of a warning, it makes sense that Juice is a little distracted.
Theo does the right thing
He uses his fame for good!
Juice, However, always does the wrong thing
And that is why he’s in trouble with the club. Maybe Juice should ask himself that question every once in a while.
Theo loves everyone he works with
How could he not?
Juice loves everyone he "works" with too
The problem is that they don't seem to love him back anymore. Which is why every scene he's in breaks our hearts.
