Who will Be In J. Law's Posse?

It seems like every day there's a casting bulletin announcing that a new actor/actress has been added to the ever-growing cast list of the Hunger Games trilogy's film adaptations, but there's still so much to learn. Here are our dream picks for some of the remaining unannounced characters, which in turn, is handy dandy tool of all the Mockingjay characters you've already forgotten about.

Meryl Streep as President Alma Coin

She's already played the Iron Lady and the world's most ruthless magazine editor, so I'd say she's in the perfect position to play the President of District 13. Coin's described in the novel-version of Mockingjay as being ruthless, manipulative and hungry for power and control with a long sheet of shiny gray hair and light gray eyes. Has Meryl written all over it.

Sean Bean as Boggs

Boggs is first introduced as President Coin's right-hand man until his primary job becomes to keep Katniss alive. He demonstrates that his loyalties lay with Katniss and not Coin and becomes a trusted ally. He is the leader of the "Star Squad" or Squad 451. First off, let me say that I love Sean Bean. Second, if his role as the Stark patriarch on Game of Thrones is any indication, he'd make a great commander. Also, how fun would it be to see two GoT actors in one place?!

Amelia Rose Blaire as Leeg 1 or Leeg 2

Leeg 1 and her sister Leeg 2 are also members of the "Star Squad" alongside Katniss and under the command of Boggs. You may recognize Blaire from her role in the past season of True Blood and Willa Burrell, the governor's daughter turned vampire.

Michelle Dockery as Leeg 1 or Leeg 2

Leeg 1 and Leeg 2 are supposed to be so close in resemblance in their soldier uniforms that they can only be told apart by the "weird yellow flecks" in Leeg 1's eyes. Dockery and Blaire aren't identical, but I would say that they could pass for sisters in this case. You probably know her best in her role as Lady Mary Crawley in Downton Abbey, but we think she'd make a great part of this duo.

Holly Marie Combs as Jackson

We've seen her both fierce and exhausted as Mrs. Montgomery on ABCFamily's hit Pretty Little Liars and Combs was the first person I thought of when reading the description of Jackson, the middle-aged second-in-command of the "Star Squad" with wicked aim. I could see her being a sharpshooter, couldn't you?

Naveen Andrews as Mitchell

There's no real description of the character Mitchell, besides that he's also a member of Katniss's "Star Squad". With his Princess Diana biopic slated for a February 2014 release, he's fresh on our minds. So basically the only question is, why not Andrews?

Ed Harris as Homes

On the older side, yes, but a brief description of Homes labels him a strong-silent type. There's no explicit age-range mentioned for the character, so this is another "why not?" situation. Homes ends up a part of the "Star Squad" because of his ability to accurately shoot at long-distance targets, much like the rest of its members. Harris could fit the bill.

Kevin Mckidd as Pollux

Castor and Pollux are almost-identical brothers, with the exception of the fact that Pollux is an Avox with no tongue, and both part of Cressida's (Natalie Dormer) film crew. They're described as having sandy hair, red beards and blue eyes; all of which, Mckidd happens to have. Mckidd is my pick to play Pollux, considering his role as Dr. Owen Hunt on Grey's Anatomy, he might possess the right quiet intensity and knowledge to sufficiently portray the Avox brother.

Anthony Michael Hall as Castor

Another situation like with Legg 1 and Legg 2, the actors cast in these roles need to resemble one another. Hall also fits the physical appearance bill, though he appears beardless in the photo. You might remember him as the blackmailing reporter forced to reveal the true identity of Batman in Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight. Hall would be my pick for Castor, physically, he's a little bigger than Mckidd, which fits with the burly description of the character.

Mandy Patinkin as Dr. Aurelius

Does this not look like the face of a doctor to you? Dr. Aurelius is Katniss's therapist during her time in District 13, though according to the novel he spends much more time sleeping during their sessions because Katniss has no desire to speak. Another case where there's little to no physical description of the character besides his occupation, thus Patinkin is the top choice. We've seen him talk psychosis with a homicidal prisoner during Homeland's first season, so I can definitely see him sitting across the room from Mockingjay's mentally distressed heroine.

Noomi Rapace as Commander Paylor

The former girl with the dragon tattoo and general badass could definitely play the youthful Commander Paylor in Mockingjay. Both physically and in our dream Hunger Games universe, Rapace would play the leader.

Jessica Biel as Lyme

Biel is a little young of a suggestion for this role, but when I read the description her's was the first face that popped into my mind. Lyme is a past victor from District 2 in an unspecified Hunger Games. She's said to be middle-aged, over 6ft tall with a muscular build, and an unforgettable face. Biel may be underage, but her toned, athletic build, height (she's 5'8"), and unique face would fit the character description well.

Olivia Wilde as Tigris

Another slightly underage casting, but if anyone's beauty could shine through a feature-distorting cat mask, it'd be Olivia Wilde's. The character, a once-prized stylist of the Hunger Games, is a reclusive shop owner and seller of fur undergarments. Tigris helps Katniss in the Capital by hiding her in her basement. She is said to have been fired as a stylist by President Snow because her extremely altered appearance that makes her look more like a tiger than a human was unsuitable to be shown on television. If anyone could pull that look off, it'd definitely be Wilde.
