Eminem Lyric or Quote from a Nicholas Sparks Book? It's Seriously Harder Than You Think
Rapper Eminem and romance novelist Nicholas Sparks may not look like they have much in common at first glance, but few people are as polarizing as these two. When it comes to an Eminem song or a Nicholas Sparks book (or movie), you're either going to love or hate it (*shudders internally at the memory of Safe Haven*), and neither of them are strangers to controversy. Well, it turns out in addition to their, um, bold personalities, their writing styles are a little bit similar, too.
Think you can you tell the difference between a quote from The Notebook or a line from "8 Mile?" Put your Eminem and Sparks knowledge to the test!
Eminem lyric?
“Nothing that’s worthwhile is ever easy, remember that.”
Nope!
While Em is pretty much the walking definition of that quote, it’s actually from Nicholas Sparks’ Message in a Bottle.
Eminem Lyric?
“Sometimes it feels like the world’s almost over, but then she comes back to me.”
Eminem lyric?
“I sent two letters back in autumn, but you must not have got’em.”
Yep!
This is from his smash hit with singer Dido, “Stan.”
Eminem lyric?
“Just when you think it can’t get any worse, it can. And just when you think it can’t get any better, it can.”
Nope!
This is a line from the Nicholas Sparks novel First Sight.
Eminem lyric?
“You stay with me, maybe, because you’re as crazy as I am, and when I look at you I can see an angel in your eyes.”
Yep!
This is from his 2004 song, “Crazy In Love.”
Eminem lyric?
“You can’t live your life for other people. You’ve got to do what’s right for you.”
Nope!
Unfortunately, this is a Noah and Allie classic from The Notebook.
Eminem lyric?
“The greater the love, the greater the tragedy when it’s over.”
Nope!
Eminem lyric?
“I’m alive again, more alive than I have been in my whole entire life.”
Yep!
You can thank the rapper’s catchy song “No Love” for this one.
Eminem lyric?
“Truth only means something when it’s hard to admit.”
Nope!
It’s from the Miley Cyrus favorite The Last Song.
Eminem lyric?
“Go in the room and shut the bedroom door, and wake up in an ambulance. They said they found me on the bathroom floor, damn.”
Yep!
It’s a line from his 2009 song “Déja Vu.”
Eminem lyric?
“If conversation was the lyrics, laughter was the music, making time spent together a melody that could be replayed over and over without getting stale.”
Nope!
This might seem a little frou-frou of a line for Eminem, and that’s because it’s from The Choice.
Eminem lyric?
“His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy/ There’s vomit on his sweater already: mom’s spaghetti/He’s nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready/To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgetting/What he wrote down”
DUH
“Lose Yourself” is only the best song in the world. Let’s be real.
