KFC's New Menu Item Is Epic

Food lovers, you might want to sit down for this one. KFC just unveiled what seems to be simultaneously the most mouth-watering burger ever created, and the most caloric entity known to humankind. Get ready for KFC's Zinger Double Down King bunless burger, which consists of cheese, bacon, a beef patty, and a variety of sauces squished between two giant slabs of fried chicken. The monstrous burger is supposed to be an update to the Double Down burger, which set records in Canada and the U.S. after it launched in 2010, despite the fact that it alarmed nutritionists everywhere with its 540 calories, 30 grams of fat, and 1,740mg of sodium. Sometimes, the most beautiful culinary masterpieces are just not that good for you — but they're still beautiful.

KFC's newest sandwich (which weighs in at a whopping 750 calories, I might add) is only being unveiled in South Korea for now, but not to worry, because we have a few of our own fast food inventions here in the U.S. that come close to matching the absurdity of the Zinger Double Down King (close being the operative word here). So even if you can't sink your teeth into a beef patty smushed between two pieces of chicken, you can always turn to Dunkin' Donuts' glazed breakfast sandwich, which is bacon and eggs on a donut, or 7-Eleven's stuffed Doritos, which is just a bigger Dorito stuffed with cheese (also known as the best way to satisfy the munchies ever).

But let's not lose sight of what's important here, and that is that currently, somewhere in this world, there exists the most mind-blowing burger we have ever laid eyes on. Check out KFC's new Zinger Double Down, and prepare to be amazed:

I told you. Amazed.
