Could You Beat Her In A Pose Off?

by Rosie Narasaki

Did you know that Coco Rocha has been going around town, challenging people to have a pose-off with her? I mean, going in, her opponents must know they're going to lose, but it's not exactly like it's a challenge you can turn down — it kind of makes me think of what it must be like to come face-to-face with a Sphinx and her riddles: Your chances of winning might be low, but the bragging rights are insane.

Anyway, it's all in celebration of her new book, Study of Pose (a collaboration with photographer Steven Sebring). Rocha recently started a hashtag campaign (#StudyofPose) to rally her millions of followers to join in on the posing-off shenanigans, and she got the ball rolling by challenging pretty much everyone that's come across her path during this promotional tour for her book. She's hit everyone from the host of Canadian talk show, CP24, to celebrity fashion designer Christian Siriano, to the editor-in-chief of Flare Magazine (who actually really held his own, IMHO).

Her pose-off challenge even got its own feature in Glamour, where Rocha posed with fashion giants like her friend Zac Posen, a two generation modeling team (Anna and Pat Cleveland), Crystal Renn, Jay Manuel (who, I'm somewhat ashamed to admit, I recognized from ANTM), and more. Let's take a look:

In Glamour:

I don't know about you, but I think Zac Posen's the clear winner of the group (click through to judge for yourself).

On CP24:

Great duckfaces all around.

At KiSS 92.5:

No contest.

With Christian Siriano and Suzanne Rogers:

Epic! And the hairstyles are so fashionable that they almost hurt my eyes.

On Breakfast Television:

I feel like this would be a good time to use the "you tried" gold star meme.

For Flare Magazine:

Okay, am I crazy, or does he totally win?

So there you have it! For now, it looks like the true challengers to the Coco Rocha posing throne are the editor-in-chief of Flare Magazine (Cameron Williamson) and Zac Posen. Who'da thunk?
