Cruella is coming to 'Once Upon a Time'

by Anna Klassen

ABC's favorite family drama Once Upon a Time loves to tease which fairytale character they'll bring to Storybrooke next. And it appears that we know just who the show's next baddie will be, thanks to a not-so-cryptic tweet. Entertainment Weekly reported that Dracula alum Victoria Smurfit had been cast as an undisclosed "iconic character" who would first be teased on the series' season finale. Now, we know who that character might be.

Actress Victoria Smurfit took to twitter Tuesday night to tweet her excitement about the show. "super excited about playing Cruella for such an iconic show as @OnceABC," she wrote. Hear that, folks? Cruella, aka PETA's worst enemy, is headed to your TV screens in all of her fur coat fabulousness. We aren't exactly sure if Smurfit had liberty from the network to tweet the big spoiler, but we're sure glad she did.

Cruella De Vil is one of Disney's most iconic villains. Known for her dual colored black and white hair and penchant for fur coats. Interestingly enough, her malicious nature and hatred of puppies stems from an overly enthusiastic interest in fashion. She is very wealthy, and will stop at nothing to get ahold of the skins of 99 Dalmatians puppies for a fur coat. Yikes. But wait, does this mean we'll get to see lots and lots of puppies on Once? Because that is something I can get behind.
