Do Snooki & JWoww Have Actual Jobs?

by Jodi Walker

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWOWW” Farley have been making a job out of their personalities for nearly five years now — it's good money if you can get it. But whereas Farley was 22 and Polizzi was 21 when the cameras first started rolling on their Jersey Shore shenanigans, both women are now mothers and married or engaged. Snooki and JWOWW are growing up. Although Jon & Kate Plus 8 was getting dangerously close at one point, society has yet to go full-Truman-Show on any single reality TV persona. So it's safe to assume that, at some point, Polizzi and Farley won't be filming a show about their lives anymore. But do Snooki and JWOWW have real jobs to fall back on? Yes, yes they do.

Like every cast member on The Real World (and Road Rules, never forget) before them, Polizzi and Farley went on to an illustrious career of making appearances for cash once their time on Jersey Shore finally (finally!) was up. But unlike those other suckers, these two business women started making plans for what came after club life.

They've kept their camera time rolling, but more than anything, they've built their brands. Sure, those brands have a lot to do with the personas they built on Jersey Shore, but those are the people Snooki and JWOWW are. They know how to stay in their lane; no one is going to want to buy their fine wedding china from Farley, but do I trust her expertise in tanning products? Well... more than I would trust anyone else's. Polizzi and Farley may still be inviting MTV cameras into their lives once a year, but they've got plenty to keep them busy during the off-season.

Fashion Icons

In addition to showing off some sparkly fringed numbers on last year's Dancing With the Stars, Polizzi is also the owner and operator of The Snooki Shop, her fashion line that features women's apparel, sunglasses, and of course, "Snooki Slippers."

Beyond the slippers, Polizzi's fashion sense has certainly improved since her days of sporting a bunny costume to the Jersey bars, and she and Farley are even guest judging an episode of Project Runway: All Stars... where they probably won't be mentioning JWOWW's once infamous Filthy Couture line.

Businesses

But JWOWW has moved on to the market where she could really let her business prowess soar — tanning. And she's sticking with it! JWOWW Tanning offers a slew of tanning lotions for tanning beds (on the record: don't go to tanning beds, and always wear sunscreen), and even a few sunless tanners (yeah, do that instead!). Her newest and most terrifying-sounding product is Black Bronzer, and Farley saw it all the way through to the production floor.

Since becoming a mother, at odds with how the world first got to know "Snooki," Polizzi has made it her business to stay fit and healthy. She relays the joys and struggles of health and motherhood with her own signature style (which is to say, this isn't your average mommy-blog) on her podcast, Naturally Nicole.

Motherhood

Both Polizzi and Farley would tell you now that motherhood is their most important endeavor. Who saw that coming five years ago?! Polizzi and her husband Jionni LaValle are now the parents of Lorenzo and Giovanna — who are precious — and Farley and her fiancé, Roger Mathews, had their daughter, Meilani — who is also precious — in July. Farley declares herself a "kick ass mom" on her Twitter, and I guess we couldn't expect anything less.
