Meet Kelly Rowland's Husband

by Daniela Cabrera

Destiny has popped out another child to keep Blue Ivy company! The beautiful Kelly Rowland gave birth to a healthy baby boy ,Titan Jewell Witherspoon, on Nov. 4. Throughout her pregnancy, and her career post-Destiny's Child, Rowland has remained relatively tight-lipped about her personal life, so it is great that her fans can rejoice with her in this exciting phase in her life. This past summer, Rowland dropped hints about the baby's sex through her Instagram, eventually confirming that her baby boy's name was chosen by her husband, Tim Witherspoon.

As of right now, we don't know too much about Witherspoon. We do know that the secretive couple married at a small ceremony in Costa Rica in May with some pretty A-list guests (Beyoncé, Solange, Tina Knowles) but they have kept their relationship quite under the radar — a blinding contrast to Rowland's BFF Beyoncé and her husband Jay Z's famously public romance (who can forget that pregnancy reveal on STAGE at the VMAs?)

In early December 2013, Rowland appeared on The Queen Latifah Show right after news of her engagement hit the press. She shared a few details about the man "who put a ring on it," so I put on my sleuthing hat to find out more about the man who liked it, put a ring on it, and named their son Titan Jewell.

They mixed business & pleasure

In many media outlets, Witherspoon is credited as being Rowland's manager; although it seems like she is his only client (wink, wink.) In 2011, Rowland and her manager Devyne Stephens parted ways, and many claim the rift was a result of her relationship with Witherspoon. Sources claim that jealousy was a deciding factor in Witherspoon urging Rowland to keep only him as her manager. Seems like the deal worked out well.

Wait, what is his real name?

In the past, Witherspoon has been widely acknowledged as her co-manager Tim "Weatherspoon." Was this an Illuminati ploy set up by BFF Beyoncé to ward off nosey journalists like me? We may never know but then things get very interesting...

He is also maybe a producer?

So as I was searching for further information on the claim that he produced a track on Michelle Williams' 2004 album, Do You Know, I came across some SUSPICIOUS details. I already shared how he was known as Tim Weatherspoon to many on the Internet, which is apparently NOT his name, but then when I search for producer credits on Wikipedia and AllMusic for Michelle Williams and Rowland, a producer Tim Weatherspoon pops up. Maybe everyone was just spelling his name wrong for a while...

I guess I can deal with some of these minor shady details as long as Miss Kelly Rowland, baby Titan, and their family are happy and healthy, which seems to be the case. As Rowland shared on Queen Latifah's show, "[When] he asked me [to marry him]... it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, 'I got my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend." D'AWWWW.
