So... Chad & Avril Are All Good Now?

by Allyson Koerner

Everyone, please put on your listening ears, because Chad Kroeger wants you to take note that those pesky split rumors about he and his wife Avril Lavigne are just that — rumors. In an interview with ET Canada, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger touched on his "split" from Avril Lavigne. Per Kroeger, he finds the rumors "amusing" aka it sounds like they're still together, but he doesn't give a solid say yes or no, either.

Kroeger seems very adamant that he and Lavigne are still an item, and he even goes as far as to compare their reported split to high school:

You know my dad calls me up and he’s just like, "I haven’t slept in two days, what’s going on?" I’m like, "Dad you’re not buying all this crap are you?" You know, I get to hear all the rumor mill stuff. I find it very amusing ... When you get out of high school, and it’s like ugh, OK. All that rumor crap. All that stuff that people say behind each other’s backs is minuscule, pales in comparison to the world of celebrity or being married to a celebrity. That’s high school multiplied exponentially. It’s ridiculous. How many times has Jennifer Aniston been pregnant this year? A dozen?

So, are they still together? I'm still asking myself just that after this interview. It seems like they are, but, again, Kroeger didn't give a definitive answer. He does mentions rather sarcastically how rings are able to go on and off when the reporter points out he's wearing one, so maybe that's a sign.

Anyway, if you're looking for another rumor to spread, how about Kroeger being pregnant? "Let’s start a new rumor. I’m pregnant," he said jokingly. So... Chad Kroeger's pregnant and he and Avril Lavigne are maybe splitting up, maybe still together. Got it.
