In the eyes of many, Jennifer Lawrence can do no wrong. But during her recent appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman, the Mockingjay actress admitted that singing is the one thing that she can't seem to get right. While Lawrence believes she has good reason to keep her singing voice under wraps, it would be a great thing if we could hear more from these nine celebrities who can sing but aren't necessarily famous for their ability to hold a note.

Kerry Washington

The sizzling Scandal actress literally took everyone to “A Whole New World” when she sang the Disney tune with Jordin Sparks. Washington admitted that the Aladdin song was her favorite to perform at karaoke, and after listening to her hit a few notes, it’s clear why.

Robert Downey Jr.

I suppose I’ve been so distracted by Downey’s ridiculous acting resume that I had no clue the actor released a solo album titled The Futurist in 2004. This heartfelt ballad from Downey’s album Hannah is a great display of his vocal skills.

Kristen Bell

After watching Bell’s flawless performance of the Fame theme song, I’m totally ready for an album.

Queen Latifah

Thanks to her successful hip hop debut, Queen Latifah’s made so many major strides in every arena of the entertainment industry that’s it hard to remember that she sings as well. In addition to starring in and performing the theme song for the hit 90s series Living Single, Latifah has recorded two soul/jazz albums, one of which was nominated for a Grammy.

James Marsden

As if his megawatt smile and undeniable handsomeness aren’t enough to make you love him, James Marsden can sing, guys. He even sang with Lady Antebellum, which was apparently awesome enough to impress group member Hillary Scott.

Michael Cera

Cera offered a very slight hint of his vocal prowess when he awkwardly sang “These Eyes” in Superbad. Although that performance doesn’t show it, the actor is actually quite the musician. He recently released a “lo-fi folk” album called True That.

Zoe Saldana

Even though the Avatar actress is immensely talented, it’s still shocking to know that Zoe Saldana can actually sing. Saldana sang for her role in the upcoming animated film The Book of Life as well as her role in the Nina Simone biopic. Co-star David Oleywoyo told E! News that Saldana’s singing is “incredible.”

Derek Hough

The Dancing with the Stars has gained a huge following for his precise choreography, but hopefully Hough’s new role on Nashville will hip more people to his awesome singing talent.

Sarah Hyland

Clearly, Sarah Hyland couldn’t be further from the directionally challenged character Haley Dunphy she plays on Modern Family. Hyland is an accomplished actress and singer who currently stars in the musical parody Scream!.
