It looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of Ariel on Once Upon a Time now that Ursula is joining the show. After a brief appearance in Season 3, the sea witch is returning as a recurring character — but there's a twist. Though Community's Yvette Nicole Brown voiced Ursula last season, Alias' Merrin Dungey will be taking over the role in Season 4, in the flesh. And she's not the only one who will be making a splash on the hit fairytale drama.
As previously speculated, Victoria Smurfit will play Cruella de Vil, and the villain is set to appear in the winter finale of OUAT, which will be Dec. 14. The show will then break for three months before its return on March 1. ABC has yet to say when Ursula will appear, but it makes sense for her to come in the second half of the season. Ariel has been MIA since she reunited with Prince Eric last season, but perhaps something will go wrong on their island and she'll have to come back to Storybrooke for help. It could also just be in flashbacks, exploring different villains. Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten) will also return this season, and if she teams up with Ursula and Cruella, it would make for one evil trio.
