The cast of Vanderpump Rules might seem to be living the high life, especially since they work for one of the fanciest ladies on Bravo, and at one of the more classier (save for the staff) lounges in Los Angeles. In reality, and if you actually pay attention to the show rather than tuning out the bickering and ridiculous drama, you will notice that the cast, which includes Stassi Schroeder, Tom Sandoval, Jax Taylor, Kristen Doute, Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Scheana Marie, and Tom Schwartz, actually live somewhat "normal" lives, don't have extravagant apartments, and drive average cars (except for James and his BMW). That brings up the question: how much do SUR servers get paid?
Unlike their boss, Lisa Vanderpump, who reportedly made $350,000 for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 4 (no word on whether that salary also includes her spin-off, Vanderpump Rules), I can only assume they make minimum wage seeing as they are either servers or bartenders at a restaurant. According to the United States Department of Labor, the state of California requires employers to pay workers full-state minimum wage before tips. Effective July 1, 2014, minimum wage for tipped employees, including waitresses, waiters, bartenders, valets, and other service employees who earn more than $30 in tips a month, equals $9.00/hour. Seeing as SUR is a popular, classier establishment, I bet some patrons tip well, especially if they're friends with Lisa and her husband, Ken Todd.
However, and with that said, that's still not enough to live the life of a famous actor or singer, which most of the Pump cast wants to be doing. So, I guess it's a good thing they're on a hit reality show. Per an article posted in 2013 by Thought Catalog, the website claims each cast member earns around $700 per episode. Of course, this could have increased as the show just started its third season. But, yeah, they definitely don't make as much as Vanderpump.
So, how "rich" are they? When you factor in their modeling jobs, their acting "gigs," their "hit" singles, their blogs, among many other jobs, their estimated net worth is between $30,000 and $150,000. Here's a rundown of how much each is reportedly worth, courtesy of The Richest:
Tom (Sandoval): $40K
As for Lisa and Todd, their supposed net worth is, $60 million and $85 million, respectively.
Even with starring on a reality show, the SUR servers are still working hard for the money, but with help from Bravo and all of the publicity, they just might be making millions one day.
