14 Reason MAC x Giambattista Valli Will Be Perfect

Ah, what a wonderful time to be alive and obsessed with lipstick. How excited am I for MAC x Giambattista Valli? Very excited. MAC's track record with producing amazingly-packaged, fun-loving, and just plain creative collaborations with various designers, artists, etc is just too good not to obsess over. I mean, the recent Simpsons collab? So great. In a lot of ways, Giambattista Valli is the perfect match for the makeup brand — classic and glamorous with an amazing eye for anything and everything flower-related (according to Vogue Magazine, a few of the colors are based on flowers, while another is rather awesomely inspired by a bing cherry).

The collection is not set to launch until summer 2015 — but as we wait for that tantalizingly far-off date, let us comfort ourselves with pretty dresses (truly the balm to soothe all wounds). Because within Giambattista Valli's (nearly) 10 years as a fashion house, he's created so many looks that would portend an ultra-covetable line of flower-inspired lipsticks: There was Lena Dunham's pink layer cake of an Emmys dress, Allison Williams' absolutely gorgeous, Grace Kelly redux ball gown, Lupita Nyong'o's blue and white tea frock — and the list goes on.
