On Tuesday night Alfonso Ribeiro was crowned the Dancing With the Stars champion and received that super cool mirrorball trophy. But now that his weeks of hard work are over, what's next for Ribeiro after DWTS? Well, first he has to let the news actually sink in. "I was kind of in shock!" he told Us Weekly after the announcement. "I almost fell to my knees right there because it was so amazing ... We so did not expect that. I said to [partner] Witney [Carson] right before, 'Be prepared to hear Mark and Sadie.'"
He waited 10 years to be asked to join the show, and after all that time actually walked away the winner. (How could he not? He's the inventor of The Carlton.) Even though Ribeiro's fellow teammates were disappointed to lose out, everyone was supportive of his victory because he's an awesome person and a great dancer. "At the end of the day Alfonso is a very deserving winner," Val Chmerkovskiy said about his competitor.
There's no doubt that Alfonso Ribeiro came and conquered, but the fun doesn't stop there. Ribeiro has a pretty packed next year and it just got even busier now that he's the DWTS champion. Here's what's up for Ribeiro to in the near future.
SOME TIME TO HEAL
After he sustained a groin and a back injury on the show, I'm sure Ribeiro is happy to get some down time. His body is due for some serious R&R.
VACATION TIME WITH HIS WIFE
Ribeiro says he plans to put family first now that his intense rehearsal days are behind him. Part of that includes a vacation with his newly pregnant wife Angela Unkrich. "We're going to Hawaii! We're going to lay on the beach. It's our next babymoon. We went to Hawaii last time for a babymoon and we loved it," he shared with Us Weekly.
A BABY FOR SPRING
Ribeiro and his wife are expecting their second child (and his third overall) in 2015, but they don't know the gender yet. "We're super excited and waiting to find out," he told E! News. But he does at least know when the baby will be arriving. "It's going to be springtime, springtime baby."
HITTING THE ROAD FOR THE DWTS TOUR
Ribeiro committed to the DWTS Mirrorball Tour before he was named the winner, which just makes the news all that more exciting. For his part, he can't wait to get back to dancing after he rests a bit. "I'm excited that it'll take me out on the road to cities all across America," he said to Us Weekly. "It'll be fun to hang out with all the dancers."
AND DISPLAYING THAT TROPHY, OF COURSE
Perhaps most important though is showing off his new glittering award. "It's going right in the living room!" he told the magazine of the mirrorball trophy. "I've got a spot for it. It'll be displayed front and center!"
With such a big year ahead of him, it'll be nice for him to have it right there in his house as a reminder of how far he's come, and all that he's achieved.
