'Two and a Half Men' Just Got the Worst News

by Marenah Dobin

In all honesty, I have only watched one episode of Two and a Half Men and that's because I knew Megan Fox was in it and, considering my eternal love for her, I had to watch it. It seems that I may be one of the only people who's only seen one episode of the series, though, because — as I was shocked to find — it's actually been on the air for a whopping 12 years. That's more than most shows can even dream of, and it seems Two and a Half Men pulled it off, even with the various controversies that have surrounded it in the past. However, it looks like the saga may finally be coming to an end: According to USA Today, Two and a Half Men has been canceled by CBS, with the series finale set to air next year.

The show has certainly been through a lot during its time on air: Most famously, back in 2011, between the show's 8th and 9th seasons, Charlie Sheen went off the rails with exclamations of "hashtag winning" and "tiger blood," not to mention some not-so-nice things about the show that employed him — when he was eventually let go from the sitcom, Ashton Kutcher stepped in to successfully revive the show.

Then, Two and a Half Men lost its "half" when star Angus T. Jones, who had been with the show since he was a child, quit his role and appeared in a series of videos begging people not to watch the show.

Although I am not an avid viewer of this series, you have to commend everyone involved for making it work and maintaining a loyal audience even through all the drastic changes and controversies that rocked the show over the years.

Two and a Half Men will air its season finale on Feb. 19, 2015, at 9 PM/8 PM central.
