Have you seen the clip of Anna Kendrick singing "On the Steps of the Palace" yet? I saw the Into the Woods revival when I was a kid, so the song's been a favorite of mine for a while, but as I listen to it as an adult, it kind of strikes me as the perfect, post-college career-confusion anthem ("though how can you know who you are, 'til you know what you want, which you don't, so then which do you pick?"). It's certainly a song I relate to at this stage in my life, and I'm excited to see Anna sing it on the big screen!
Anyway, girl is killing it style-wise lately. Did you see her burgundy velvet dress? Or her to-die-for fox-covered Dolce & Gabbana ensemble? Her generally adorable style has been even more enviably covetable than usual lately — and the black, fit and flare, cut out Carven dress she wore on a recent episode of The Late Show with David Letterman was the successor to a long line of cute fabulosity.
It struck just the right balance of fun/playful, polished/professional, and daring/sexy — in other words, it's the perfect style moment to emulate — so here are a few shopping options if you're feeling the urge to copycat Anna Kendrick's lovely cut-out LBD.
