What Celebs Are on Tinder? Here's What Your Faves Think of the Popular App

It's no secret that Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo had a messy breakup. So how is she coping? Did Sparks join Tinder looking for a rebound? Not a chance. Sparks told People, "Oh my gosh, never in a million years! If you see a profile on there, it's not me." Sparks is not the only celebrity who has talked about Tinder in the press. Who's active on the site? Who's tried it out? Who has sworn off of it? Some names may surprise you. Pop stars, actors, and talk show hosts have been pretty vocal about the matchmaking mobile app.

Britney Spears

In September 2014, Jimmy Fallon convinced Britney Spears to set up a Tinder account after her split with David Lucado. I don’t know if she stuck with it for long, but it doesn’t really matter since she is currently dating Charlie Ebersol.

Josh Groban

Tinder CEO Sean Rad revealed that Josh Groban has a profile on the dating app. This is not surprising given that Groban previously tweeted, "I wanna go on tinder so bad.” I am hoping that he deleted Tinder since he is currently in the most random relationship ever with Kat Dennings.

Katy Perry

In April 2014, a radio interviewer asked Katy Perry if she was single. The pop star replied, “Uh, yes I am, hello. I’m really deep on Tinder so I don’t have a whole lot of time.” However, in September 2014, she was singing a different tune. In a Harper’s Bazaar interview, Perry said, ”I’m definitely not on Tinder, even though I joke about it.” Interesting. I wonder if that means that she is currently not on Tinder or if she means that she was never actually a member. I would like her to clarify.

Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran was offered the first verified celebrity Tinder account. Sadly, Sheeran turned down the opportunity. The singer explained, “I haven’t got time to go on loads of dates… It just sounds quite creepy doing that. You’re just using your celebrity status to hook up with chicks.” I really respect that stance. And I bet that stance worked as some sort of reverse psychology to lure girls. Oh the irony.

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan Instagrammed a screen shot of her brother on Tinder in October 2013. Ummm, there are multiple things that stand out about this. One, it’s not cool to publicly embarrass your own sibling. Two, this must mean that Lindsay Lohan has a Tinder profile if she “found” her brother on the app. Three, I hope to god she did not swipe right. That would be way too weird.

Chelsea Handler

Chelsea Handler is famous for being outspoken, so her stance on Tinder isn’t too shocking. The comedian admitted that she enjoys “anonymous, random men”. She specifically stated, "I’m going to go on Tinder, I just keep forgetting to. I would, I don’t mind that idea at all. You can verify me, I’ll verify that I’m me. Or you could just text me and I’ll text you back and say, ‘I’m famous, let’s f***.'” Handler is so not shy — at all.

Chris Pine

In a Cosmopolitan interview, Chris Pine was asked if online dating has ruined chivalry. He responded by saying, "No, I have a couple of buddies who use Tinder. Whatever eases the process is great, since it can be awkward and uncomfortable meeting someone. It’s the same jumping-off point — 'Oh, she’s cute' or 'He’s cute' — and then you start talking. Ultimately, it comes down to the connection you have with that person once she’s in the room.” So is he on Tinder? Maybe I will sign up now to find out...

Joe Manganiello

“Celebrities are busy. We don’t have time to get out there in the club. So yeah this would actually work,” Joe Manganiello said back in April 2014. I know he is in a relationship with Sofia Vergara now, but it would be a dream come true to be matched up with him. Holy hotness.

Mariah Carey

"Using an app to find a date? If that’s gonna make them happy, then hey why not app away?" Mariah Carey said in April 2014. I wonder how she feels about Tinder now that she is single. I would die to see screen shots of conversations with her matches.

Andy Cohen

In Andy Cohen’s new book, he revealed, ”I got caught up in the tech buzz and randomly joined. I said 'yes' to a few… Tinder is my ticket to meeting people I wouldn’t normally come across, like an architect who lives in Murray Hill, or a scientist from Williamsburg. Welcome to my rich fantasy land.” It’s nice to see that he is willing to branch out to meet new people.

Dave Franco

Conan O’Brien and Dave Franco explored Tinder in a segment for Conan. It seemed like the duo just signed up for the laughs, but I wonder if Franco kept that profile going for some personal use. Hopefully not, seeing as he's in a relationship with Alison Brie.

Bill Murray

Could you imagine matching up with Bill Murray on Tinder? "I think it could be amusing. But I can’t imagine doing it particularly,” Murray explained to Jimmy Kimmel. That is a shame. I would have loved to see some screen shots of him wooing the ladies on Tinder. I still have hope.
