When Can You Watch The Interview on YouTube?

by Marenah Dobin

To be honest, I actually had zero interest in seeing the movie The Interview . Someone asking James Franco and Seth Rogen to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-un just sounds like an utterly ridiculous plot. With that said, I have no idea how Kim Jong-un or anyone else could take that movie seriously, let alone actually be offended by the concept. Now, Sony has decided to stream The Interview online. Why would the studio release a super-hyped movie on the internet? In case you have been living under a rock, I will remind you that the film was initially pulled from theaters after threats of “9/11-like attacks” on theaters if it was released as planned for Christmas Day. So when can you watch The Interview?

You can still watch The Interview on Christmas Day as Sony originally intended, but now you can do so from the comforts of your own home. Better yet, you have the opportunity to watch it a day early. That actually sounds like a way better deal to me. Now, I don't have to get out of my Christmas pajamas or put on makeup to make myself publicly presentable. The movie is available for you to watch at 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time today on YouTube, Google Play, and Xbox Video. That gives me plenty of time to sleep in, eat breakfast, and open some presents before I lounge around and watch the movie. Rejoice! It's a Christmas miracle!
