17 Celebrities Who Need to Make a Comeback in 2015

2014 was the year of the Hollywood career revolutions. The McConaissance took the world by storm. We all went Wild for the Witherspoonaissance. Michael Keaton took flight again in Birdman . I made terrible puns! If 2014 has taught us anything, it's that the next big thing isn't necessarily going to be the breakout star of Sundance (hey sup, Miles Teller), but sometimes the biggest breakthroughs happen by those who faded out of the spotlight and then returned in big ways.

As we move on into 2015, there are plenty of actors that deserve to have a major comeback. Here are the top 17 picks for celebs we need to see more of in the coming year. Take a look.

Michelle Williams

GIRL. Where have you beeeeeeeen? Sundance needs you.

Katie Holmes

With two serious parts coming up in 2015, Katie Holmes seems totally ready to be back in the spotlight. It’s about time.

Josh Hartnett

How a man with that jawline is not in more films is beyond me.

Winona Ryder

If Claire Danes can do it, so can you!

Halle Berry

Was anyone really that thrilled by Extant? Berry is an Academy Award-winning actress who deserves much better roles.

Nicole Kidman

Somehow, Kidman has faded into being very little more than the actress who is married to Keith Urban. I will have none of that!

Adrien Brody

You can only hide in Wes Anderson bit parts for so long. Thankfully, Brody has five major releases coming out in 2015.

Zach Gilford

Matt Saracen, you are too good for B-level horror movies. Someone get this man a real film!

Denzel Washington

We all just need a reminder that Washington is one of the greatest actors in Hollywood history. He’s been laying low for a while. It’s high time we all get a little more Denzel.

Renée Zellweger

The actress claims to be the happiest and healthiest she’s been in years. She won our hearts with charmers like Jerry Maguire and Bridget Jones’ Diary, and blew audiences away in Chicago, but she hasn’t been on screen since 2010. Thankfully she’s returning with the thriller The Whole Truth with Keanu Reeves, who experienced his own comeback in 2014.

Ryan Reynolds

Maybe Reynolds should hang out with Chris Pratt and figure out how Pratt stole his career… with charm!

Rachel Dratch

Dratch is one of the most underrated and under-used comedians out there. Since her SNL days, Dratch has had bit parts in oodles of TV shows like Broad City, Bob’s Burgers, and 30 Rock. C’mon Hollywood, don’t be such Debbie Downers.

Mos Def

Yasiin Bey is best known by his rap moniker Mos Def. As respected as he is in the hip-hop community, he’s also a diverse and talented actor — a feat many musicians fail to ever accomplish. He’s conquered action thrillers (The Italian Job), hard dramas (Monster’s Ball, Dexter), and comedy (Chapelle’s Show). The big screen could use more of this eclectic star.

Anna Faris

Nowadays Faris is mostly recognized for her super famous husband Chris Pratt, but she’s far more than hilarious and awesome wifey material. She is yet another underrated comedian. Trust me, I never expected to actually LOL at The House Bunny, but Faris is unafraid and gives 100 percent as an actor. She deserves way more screen time.

Portia de Rossi

Again with the significant others being overshadowed by their lovers. As much as we all love Ellen, we’d love it even more to see more of Portia.

Christina Ricci

Be still my angsty teen heart.

Anne Hathaway

It happened… Anne Hathaway kind of disappeared in 2014. C’mon y’all, #stopthehathahate.
