AMC hasn't released much promotional material in anticipation of the upcoming series finale of Breaking Bad, but that kind of just attests to how amazing this show is: They don't need to. Everyone knows it's the best show ever, their ratings have skyrocketed by three million compared to last season, and, come Sunday night, diehard fans will be glued to their television sets whether or not AMC releases a vague 30-second promo or not. That said, it's still been slightly disappointing that there's been no promotional material, apart from a poster — until now. Ahead of Sunday's series finale, the network has released two new photos from the Breaking Bad series finale, featuring Walt looked pretty worn down, and determined to... do something. We don't know what that will be until next week, but it's SOMETHING.
Ugh. My heart hurts. Breaking Bad is really ending, you guys, and there's nothing any of us can do to stop it — in a matter of just a few days, Heisenberg will be gone from our lives, and Breaking Bad will be just another distant memory, like equally excellent television shows The Wire and The Sopranos.
You can check out one image above, and one below. I have no clue what any of it means, but this hurts, guys. This really, really hurts.
Here's the promo for the series finale (featuring no new footage), for good measure:
