Kevin Hart Comments on Bill Cosby's Allegations

by Alyse Whitney

Many celebrities have been talking about Bill Cosby's rape allegations, and for the most part, people are taking sides. Some stand behind Cosby and believe he is innocent, while others — especially Judd Apatow — have been vocal about holding him accountable for his actions and listening to the victims. When it comes to longtime Cosby fan Kevin Hart, he isn't so quick to pick a side. Instead, he's decided that he has no control of the situation and separates the comedian's lifetime work and personal life.

"Right now, it's a lot of speculation," he told The Hollywood Reporter in his cover story. "All I can do is just say my prayers, and my wishes go out to all of the women who are potentially involved. His personal life has nothing to do with me. I can't control it. I will never try. It doesn't stop me from being an admirer of his work. His work and his personal life are two separate things."

It's unsurprising for Hart to comment he’s saying his prayers because Cosby is a comedic hero to Hart. In 2012, he told SiriusXM that Cosby showed him that you "don't have to be filthy to make people laugh" and that talking about family and kids is cool.
