Two 'Sharknados' Were Not Enough

I'm not sure what it says about this country that a film series like Sharknado could do so well on television that it receives not one, but two sequels, but a big part of me thinks it's nothing good. That said, I don't really care, because it's a movie about sharks in a tornado destroying entire towns and no one should be deprived of that concept ever. Now that Sharknado 3 is officially happening thanks to Sharknado 2 's insanely high ratings in 2014, we're beginning to get our first hints of what to expect from the third sequel to this franchise — and, first up, is some pretty great casting news. According to reports, Sharknado 3 will see the return of stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, who of course signed contracts for another year because, let's face it, they'd be pretty stupid if they didn't.

As for the location of this year's freak "sharknado" (you'd think the world would be used to it at this point and develop various safeguards to protect civilians, but logic thinking and a movie that is literally about a tornado of sharks don't really mesh, I guess) it looks like the film will be staying on the East Coast, as previously rumored: Washington D.C., the nation's capital, will be the site of the next big sharknado. In other words, get ready to see to what it would look like if sharks invaded the National Mall.

Like its predecessors, Sharknado 3 should premiere on Syfy sometime in July. I don't know about you guys, but I really hope this just becomes a yearly tradition at this point.
