The Vajankle Is Exactly What It Sounds Like (NSFW)

I'm not super familiar with the world of sexual fetishes, but I'm firmly of the belief that as long everything is consensual and all parties are enjoying themselves, anything goes in the bedroom (or on the kitchen table, or in the shower, or wherever). As such, people who really dig feet and/or ankles? This one's for you: Meet the Vajankle, a sex toy/objet d'art that consists of a disembodied synthetic foot with a functional vagina embedded in the top of the ankle. I'll be honest: It looks a little like something out of a sci-fi nightmare to me; then again, though, I'm not particularly attracted to feet, so I'm not really its target audience. For anyone out there who actually has a foot or ankle fetish, I'm sure it looks like the stuff dreams are made of; different strokes for different folks and all that — literally, in this case — so if the Vajankle does it for you, prepare to have a whooooooole lot of fun.

This remarkable-looking piece is the creation of a Southern California-based operation called Sinthetics. Sinthetics specializes in extremely lifelike, anatomically correct sculptures — but whatever you do, don't call them "sex dolls." The company doesn't like the term, and I can understand why; it brings to mind the kinds of blow-up novelties that usually make their primary appearances at bachelor and bachelorette parties. You know, this type:

Sinthetics' "manikins," as they call them, are definitely not that. As they write on their website:

"It is our experience that the term 'doll' can give a limiting context to these pieces of art. We are proud of the beautiful hand crafted items we produce and want them to be appreciated as multifunctional rather than simply pigeon-holing them into the easy go-to connotation of the word 'sex doll.' We view our products as usable art, and our clients as art collectors."

And they really are startling realistic. Take a look at the galleries at the Sinthetics website — I guarantee you'll be impressed. In addition to full manikins, Sinthetics also has a line called "Sexy Feet," of which the Vajankle is part; as you might have guessed, the line forgoes the whole manikin body and provides just the feet. They're not cheap, of course — but then again, for work this lifelike, I wouldn't expect them to be. A basic pair of short feet will run you $249, while a single Vajankle (which, by the way, is only available as a left foot) costs $175. Here's what it looks like:

Besides the left foot stipulation for the Vajankle, though, both the regular Sexy Feet and the ones that also function as Fleshlights are fully customizable: There are three different styles and several ankle heights to choose from; you can pick your favorite skin tone for it; and you can even request that the nails be painted a specific color. As Cosmopolitan put it, "Can you only get hard for a tan lady foot with nails painted the color of the Italian flag? Well, sir, you are in luck! (Well, only if you like that tan lady foot to be disembodied. If you want it connected to a body, then you are not in luck.)"

But! As funny as that last parenthetical is, you actually are still in luck because of that whole thing where Sinthetics makes full-sized manikins in addition to just feet. You probably won't be able to get a Vajankle as one of your manikins' feet — as far as I can tell, the manikins' limbs are not detachable — but that's OK. If you just want a foot, cool; if you want a full person, also cool. Whatever floats your metaphorical boat, as long as everyone is having fun!

Head on over to Sinethtics' website to find out more about Sexy Feet, the Vajankle, and the company's full-sized manikins.
