Benedict Somehow Makes The Hamburglar Seem Sexy

by Alyse Whitney

If you thought you were immune to Benedict Cumberbatch's charms, think again. Jimmy Kimmel had Cumberbatch try some new names to see if he sounds less debonair, and even though some of them are down right ridiculous, he oozes sophistication and swoon-worthiness with each fake moniker. This video takes place in a bar, where he is introducing himself to (fake) fellow patrons and potential lovers, and there's no one in the world who wouldn't go home with him — even if he did introduce himself as The Hamburglar. Yes, the McDonald's villain makes an appearance, as well as a fantastic impression of Batman baddie Bane (voice and hand-as-mask included).

Among the many great introductions was a call-out to a childhood jingle as Cumberbatch says, "John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt — that's your name too? What are the chances?" He also utters "I am Groot" and delivers a perfect Princess Bride threat. "Nice to see you again, we've met before. Remember?" he questions. "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." Those are three great lines, but some of the best didn't have anything but a name. For instance, Kathy Lee Gifford, The Rock, Five-Dollar Footlong, Luigi McPenis, 2Chainz, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. With that being said, you're going to want to wait until the final seconds to hear how he asks someone if they want a kiss... as Queen Latifah.
