Get Well Soon, LiLo!

I don't know about you, but I surely don't want to go on a luxurious vacation only to contract a rare virus. Unfortunately, that is what happened to Lindsay Lohan who is suffering from Chikungunya, and now, according to TMZ, is in a London hospital getting treatment for the rare and incurable virus, which is causing fever, joint pain, and fatigue. She got the virus from mosquito bites while vacationing in Bora Bora, and reportedly her prognosis is that she may suffer from joint pain for months.

Per TMZ, Lohan's "joint pain is unbearable" and she is hospitalized at King Edward VII's Hospital, the same facility the Queen goes to for treatment. Lohan first shared the news of her illness via social media on Dec. 29. "In good faith with good people. I refuse to let a virus effect my peaceful vacation," she included with a photo (shown below). TMZ also reports that before New Year's, Lohan started to feel sick and "became so ill she couldn't walk."

So, just how serious is Chikungunya? Well, as scary as the name sounds. The World Health Organization notes that even though "in some cases joint pain may persist for several months, or even years," the majority of patients fully recover, which is great news for Lohan.

Let's hope her symptoms are relieved and she fully recovers sooner rather than later!
