January Jones One-Upped Herself With This #TBT

by Rosie Narasaki

Okay, if anyone has the title already, it's surely her — but just in case she doesn't, I'm coronating her now: Ms. January Jones is officially Queen of Instagram. Sure, there are some pretenders to the throne (I'm looking at you, Miley Cyrus), but I don't think there's anyone out there with more awesome #TBTs, and even more awesome incisive hashtags. Earlier this week, January eclipsed all of the well-dressed SAG Awards attendees with a vintage snap of her gigantic-sleeved, red satin, princess-cut dress (complete with color-matched suede Mary Janes and a strand of pearls, of course) from her bid for Miss Teen South Dakota, and she continued her quest for world domination today with a commemorative photo from the interview portion of the pageant.

Yep, because Baby January Jones in an early '90s facsimile of a sailor uniform (complete with an anchors away-ready hat, a double-breasted jacket, a white pleated skirt with a contrasting stripe of navy, matching kitten-heel pumps, and those gosh-darn pearls) is all we never knew we needed from life. Plus, her signature acid-tongued captions (and hashtags) make it even better:

This is what I wore to deliver a speech I wrote about America. Because Americans apparently all dress like flight attendants. #missteensouthdakotapageant#theshameofthatexperienceonlymadememoreinteresting

You tell 'em January. *Casually blasts Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger"*

No matter how flight attendant-y it might be, she's totally rocking these patriotic duds: It's an outfit that senator-wife Betty Francis would no doubt heartily approve of.
