The former Hills star is reportedly supporting her father and believes none of the news coming out about him. According to Us Weekly, Heidi Montag believes her dad, William Montag, is innocent and says that the child molestation and incest allegations brought against him "are false." Apparently, the claims are coming from someone who is now alienated from the family. A source told the entertainment publication,
It's all coming from an estranged family member with ulterior motives. Heidi doesn't believe any of it. She grew up in that house and knows her father's character and 100 percent believes all of the accusations are false.
As previously reported, William was taken into custody late last December in Aspen, Colorado for sexual abuse and aggravated incest claims. Allegedly, from 1993 to 1998, William was maintaining a relationship with a 13-year-old girl, whose identity remains anonymous. In a statement released to Bustle per press release, the Aspen Police Department says,
At approximately 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 the Aspen Police arrested William Montag of Glenwood Springs on a statewide extradition warrant issued by the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office. Montag was arrested for 3 counts each of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust and aggravated incest. […] The Aspen Police were alerted on Thursday that Montag was skiing in Aspen by the Glenwood Springs branch of the FBI. Officers were able to verify this information and track Montag to his place of employment, Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club. Montag was arrested at AVSC without incident.
Court documents, obtained by TMZ, say William reportedly "groomed her with back rubs" and performed oral sex on the young girl. There has been no indication that Heidi or her sister, Holly, were ever sexually abused by their father.
Heidi and her husband, Spencer Pratt, allegedly remain optimistic. According to sources "very close" with the Heidi and Spencer who spoke with TMZ, the couple says that the claims are coming from a woman "determined to destroy the family." These insiders also say the accuser (who is believed to be a woman) has stalked Heidi and Spencer.
Apparently, Heidi is sticking by her father's side and believes he will be exonerated, but Heidi has yet to officially confirm this report. However, she did retweet Us Weekly's story, so it could be that's her way of saying, "Yes, I believe my father."
