Get Excited for Oscar de la Renta Fall 2015

If you're a fan of pretty, chances are you're a fan of Oscar de la Renta, because forget the Powerpuff Girls — this label is what's made of "sugar and spice and everything nice." The well-loved fashion design house's runway shows are always amongst the best at New York Fashion Week; there are always gorgeously structured gowns, colorfully delicate embroidery, and poofy skirts to spare. The creative genius behind the brand may have passed away last year after a battle with cancer, but his legacy will no doubt live on — because new Oscar de la Renta Creative Director Peter Copping seems to be taking to his new job with considerable aplomb.

The brand released a promo on Instagram for the new creative director's first NYFW, and it looks pretty darn epic. They also piqued our fashion appetites with a single sketch of one of the looks that will be walking the runway six days from now, and it is flat-out gorgeous. Anyone who was worried that Oscar de la Renta wouldn't be the same without its namesake designer can rest assured that the brand's in good hands — and get excited for that first show!
