Could one of the upcoming Hunger Games film adaptations include a threesome between Katniss, Gale, and Peeta? No, probably not, but that doesn't mean we all don't think about it — and by we all, I mean Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson, of course. In a new interview with Out magazine for their November issue, Hutcherson supported a threesome between Peeta, Katniss, and Gale. "I know Peeta would be into it, for sure. He’s very sensitive, in touch with his emotions," Hutcherson joked (probably?) with the magazine, a quote that'll probably make parent groups real happy. "I think it really might solve a lot of their problems. You know what? I’m going to pitch that idea. Let’s make it a – what’s it called when three people are in a relationship together? A triad? That’ll go over well with Middle America."
Gotta admit, he has a point — especially when you consider that the movies are going to put more emphasis on the Peeta-Katniss-Gale love triangle, even though it wasn't featured heavily in the books. That means lots of relationship drama worthy of an episode of The Hills lies ahead, and maybe a threesome between them all really would solve a lot of their issues. Make love, not war? Anyone... ? That would certainly set it apart from other teen book adaptations like Twilight, which focus on love triangles heavily to amp up the drama.
But, gotta ask — is this the threesome we really want to see? I don't know about you guys, but I think if The Hunger Games is going to tackle threesome territory at all, Wes Bentley and that ridiculous beard need to be involved, because it really just makes him look all sorts of futuristic porn star, like creepy mustaches were to porn stars in the '80s! Just a suggestion...
