Will Robin Hood Return To 'Once Upon A Time'? It's Still Safe To 'Ship Him With Regina

A lot of things are going to be different when Once Upon A Time returns from its winter hiatus. For starters, the end of season 4A had a slew of characters actually depart Storybrooke, like Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff. They left by their own means, while other characters like Rumpelstiltskin were forced out. Then there's Robin Hood, who left by his own choice, but you could tell he didn't really want leave the town behind — because of Regina. Is there a chance Robin Hood will be back during Once Upon A Time Season 4B?

Robin and Regina might have a more tormented love story than Emma and any of her star-crossed loves. We all know that they're destined to be together, because Tink foresaw it, but can they actually make it work? For a brief time this fall on OUAT, it seemed like they were totally going to make it work. However, that's not taking into account the fact that it only was working because Robin's wife, Maid Marian, was frozen in ice. Just a small setback.

But when Marian was de-thawed, literally, the only way to really keep her from freezing over again was to leave all magic behind, and that meant leaving Storybrooke. Robin chose to go with her, since he couldn't see his family separated. But that meant leaving Regina.

And you know what happens when you cross the Storybrooke town line? It disappears behind you and there's a slim chance of ever returning. But Robin can't be gone forever, right?  According to a TV Guide interview with executive producer Adam Horwitz, we should still have hope. "Their story is not over," he explained. That's reassuring, but no more follow up information was given. E! Online gave us pretty much the same information with a simple, "Robin is still very much a part of the show and trust me, you don't want to give up on hope for these two just yet!"

But when and how he'll be back is the big question, considering that Storybrooke is literally gone for him. But hey, if Rumple can find a way back, Robin should be able to as well, right?

Have hope, Regina and Robin 'shippers, because Sean Maguire is still listed in a bunch of upcoming episodes of OUAT. We might not eve have to wait too long to see how he makes his way back into town, and most importantly, back to Regina.
