Judge TLC's Greatest Hits Medley For Yourself

There are few things more disappointing than a half-assed comeback. If you're going to do it, do it, you know? I don't want to come down too hard on T-Boz and Chilli, but TLC's greatest hits medley on GMA was kind of bad, you guys. They went on the ABC morning show to promote their greatest hits album 20, which drops today, and the TLC movie CrazySexyCool , which airs on Vh1 Oct. 21, and it all felt a little... off. I guess when classics such as "Waterfalls," "What About Your Friends," and "No Scrubs" are performed, I just have a zero-tolerance policy for any stupid bullshit. And by bullshit I mean lip syncing.

It appeared that neither woman actually sang a song, despite wearing those headgear-style mics, and the dancing was awkward and confused, as well. At one point, Chilli nearly collided face first with a backup dancer. TLC! You're better than this.

I will say this, though: Chilli Thomas has found the goddamn fountain of youth because she hasn't aged a day since the early '90s. She looks exactly the same, and it's borderline alarming. Maybe she's been a hologram the whole time? Because TLC is into holograms. Point is, IT'S POSSIBLE.

Anyway, the trailer for the TLC biopic didn't really blow me away, but that's because there's so much real footage and so many real stories about and from the girl group that an acted movie seems redundant, if not entirely unnecessary. But T-Boz and Chilli seemed so excited about it when talking to Robin Roberts — both bandmates were executive producers on the flick — so hell, fine. FINE! I'll watch. If it makes TLC happy, it makes me happy.

But TLC, next time when you perform, maybe just, I don't know, give it, like, 50 percent more effort. And if you're going to lip sync, that's cool, but enough with the mics.
