I hate to even utter these words, but it has to be done: forget about all those perfect Hollywood couples, like John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, and Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, because we have another "it" couple on our hands. To who am I referring? Robbie Amell and Italia Ricci. Amell is best known for his role in The Duff and The Flash (and also being Stephen Amell's cousin), while Ricci can be seen in Chasing Life, where she plays an influential character dealing with cancer. They're also known for being a beloved couple that many can't get enough of. Why is that? Because they seem so in love and set a great example for others in relationships.
Based on interviews and the photos they share on Instagram (which are beyond adorable), you can tell that Amell and Ricci will be one Hollywood couple that lasts. They've been together for six years and are still going strong. The way they talk about each another, have fun together, and support one another is how every couple should be. We should all be taking notes.
With that said, here are seven things all couples can learn from Amell and Ricci, because, yes, they are great role models when it comes to relationships.
Don't Take Life Too Seriously
Life is way too short to worry about little things. Don't sweat the small stuff and follow in Amell and Ricci's footsteps by having fun and ignoring the unimportant things, especially when it comes to taking a bad picture. If these two can make fun of themselves, then we all should be able to as well.
Support Is A Relationship Must
Amell and Ricci can't help but support one another and their careers. When Amell's movie The Duff was released, Ricci went above and beyond to promote her future husband's film. The same goes for Amell when he shows how proud he is of Ricci starring as the lead in Chasing Life.
It's OK To Let Your Pets Come First
Let's be honest. Pets sometimes come first, and will get in the way and hog your attention. And how can they not when they're this cute? Also, if you want to have kids, pets are the perfect way to help you prepare. So, yeah, there's that.
Remember Family & Friends Are Important
Just because you're in a relationship doesn't mean you should give up your family and friends. Not only are these two close with one another, but they're super close with their families and friends. A relationship should be about bringing all your loved ones together.
Be Each Other's Best Friend
How can you have a successful relationship if you aren't your partner's best friend? Amell and Ricci have been together for six years, so, clearly, they're doing something right. As Amell told HollywoodLife.com, “When we got engaged, I said, I’m marrying my best friend. It’s totally true. We do everything together, we have so much fun, and now we’ve got the rest of our lives to do that.”
Honesty & Openness Are Key
Amell & Ricci seemingly talk about everything, because that's how relationships should be, right? Even when it comes to doing nudity and sex scenes, the two have had a chat about whether they'd do that for a role and how comfortable they'd be with each other doing it. Amell told HollywoodLife.com, “We’ve talked about if an HBO show comes along that involves nudity, or a lot of sex scenes. What’s really worth this to us, now that we’re starting this life together? It would have to be a really, really special project, like Martin Scorsese would have to be calling and say he wanted us to do an HBO show."
Enjoy Life, Don't Rush Through It
Time and time again Amell and Ricci have said they are going to enjoy being engaged by having a "long engagement." There's nothing wrong with enjoying their time together and the process rather than rushing through a big moment. Stop and smell the roses every once in awhile.
See? Robbie and Italia are perfect and we can learn so much from them — especially how to take amazing photos for Instagram.
