Wendell Levi Could Be Anyone On 'S.H.I.E.L.D.'

by Rachel Paige

Just like there's a team of good guys onAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D., now there's going to be a team of bad guys, too. Skye's dad, Calvin Zabo, appears to be recruiting other dastardly foes to join up with him and really mess with S.H.I.E.L. D. He's teamed up with a few notable characters from the Marvel universe, along with Wendell Levi. Who could Wendell Levi be on S.H.I.E.L.D. ? Looks like we're all going to find that out together.

For starters, Levi is not a character from any Marvel comic. This could be a good thing, and this could be a bad thing. For all we know, Levi is a brand new character who's just now joining this ever expanding Marvel universe. Maybe he's a random guy who has a bone to pick with S.H.I.E.L.D., and when Zabo comes calling, readily volunteers.

But the fact that Levi is not a character from the comics, could mean that he is totally a character from the comics, just operating under a different alias right now. I mean, do I really have to bring up that whole Skye/Daisy Johnson thing again? Levi could just be the name he is using now, before we slowly see who he really is. If we're going to look over known associates of Zabo, he could end up becoming one of a ton of characters.

Levi's first appearance will happen in this Tuesday's episode, "One Of Us." According to IMDB, it will also be his only appearance on the show, but sometimes sites are slow to update acting appearances, or are simply omitted for spoiler reasons, so don't count him out just yet.

Still, the odds aren't looking good for Levi to make multiple appearances, let alone be a character from the comics. There's barely a full sentence on his page in the Marvel Universe Wiki, which basically gives us no new information about him. There is a tiny sneak peak from Marvel for the episode, but all that shows us is that Levi can disable a security system — he's the guy with the glasses and computer.

So basically, S.H.I.E.L.D. is giving us a character who could be everyone and no one at the same time. Awesome. We're all going to have to tune into to S.H.I.E.L.D. to see who Levi really is. Maybe he's just a one-off character, or maybe he's someone buried deep in the comics we just haven't found yet. Isn't it fun when S.H.I.E.L.D. plays these games with us?
