Never Forget Jennifer Aniston In 'Leprechaun'

by Alanna Bennett

If you ever wonder to yourself what Jennifer Aniston's life was like in the time after she made the decision to pursue acting but before she landed Friends, well — have you seen Leprechaun? Because, if not, oh boy, you are in for... maybe not a treat, but certainly some kind of ride. Never has that been more clear than in the honest trailer for Leprechaun , which reminds us all that, yeah, Hollywood really did spend a bunch of money on a movie about an evil leprechaun that, for the record, didn't even come out near St. Patrick's Day (it came out on Jan. 8, 1983 instead, which is very random). The Luck Of The Irish this is not.

In case you were curious, here's the IMDb description for this cinematic masterpiece from 1993:

An evil, sadistic Leprechaun goes on a killing rampage in search of his beloved pot of gold.

The titular leprechaun was played by Warwick Davis (aka Griphook from the Harry Potter films) who I feel like deserved more than this. Aniston, on the other hand, played teenager Tory Reding — and, as this honest trailer points out, it definitely seems like a role that would fall under "paying your dues."

But hey, in our modern world, Aniston is a superstar and Davis is fondly remembered most for Willow and Harry Potter, so we can look back on it for what it is now: A weird relic from 1993 and a glimpse into a pre-Friends world.
