Even though temperatures are on the rise, the dilemma of going outside to hang out with friends or staying in to watch TV in your pajamas is still a struggle. Since we're about to begin the season of rain, you have an excuse to kick up your feet on the couch for one more month, and you definitely need to know the movies and TV shows coming to Netflix in April. The streaming site is getting some great additions this month, ranging from the Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd's They Came Together, the ultimate romantic comedy parody, to Marvel's Daredevil, the site's new original show.
Also on the docket is the indie movie you may have missed starring Blair Waldorf and Seth Cohen (a.k.a. real-life couple Leighton Meester and Adam Brody). Although they aren't in a romantic relationship in Life Partners — Meester is actually a lesbian who despises Brody's character — the new unique twist on the rom-com about best friends Paige (Community's Gillian Jacobs) and Sasha (Meester) growing up and growing apart is a must-see movie. Check out some more highlights from what's coming to Netflix in April below, and then keep reading for the full list.
Marvel's Daredevil Season 1 (April 10)
If you're a Marvel junkie, mark your calendars for when the latest superhero emerges. Charlie Cox takes on the titular role (you may remember Ben Affleck's turn back in 2003, too) and he's joined by co-stars like Rosario Dawson and True Blood's Deborah Ann Woll.
Life Partners (April 2)
The all-star cast includes Leighton Meester, Adam Brody, Gillian Jacobs, and SNL's Kate McKinnon and Abby Elliott. If that's not enough to excite you, the comedy is the perfect balance of humor and heart and is all about female friendship.
Sons of Anarchy Season 7 (April 25)
If you missed the final season of Sons of Anarchy, catch up with Jax & Co. on their final ride.
Noah (April 18)
You'll never look at the arc the same way again with Russell Crowe as Noah. The epic film also co-stars Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly, and Logan Lerman.
Hot Fuzz (April 16)
Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg can do no wrong, and there's no better time than now to re-live the hilarious police parody.
They Came Together (April 17)
It was a Wet Hot American Summer reunion in director David Wain's parody of romantic comedies. They Came Together has Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd as a couple, so what more do you need?
