6 Of Adam Levine's Best Moments On 'The Voice'

by Keertana Sastry

He may not win The Voice as often as his co-judge Blake Shelton, but Adam Levine has proven time and time again that he's a smart, patient, warm-hearted, and hilarious addition to the hit series. In fact, Levine and Blake Shelton's bromantic chemistry alone may make the entire show. Levine has definitely proven himself to be a worthy judge, winning twice now in The Voice's seven season history. (It's now currently in its eighth season.) He's brought to the table many brilliant displays of coaching, and he brings his contestants some of the best mentors they could have. Plus, you know, there's the whole fact that he's pretty dang easy on the eyes. But that's just an afterthought. So why is Adam Levine a good judge on The Voice ? Oh, let me count the many, many ways.

We all know Shelton has the wins, Usher has the style, Pharrell has the intelligence from a producing standpoint, Christina Aguilera is the diva who knows voices, and Shakira has the determination. But Levine has elements of all of these factors, and that's what makes his moments really shine on The Voice. It's not just about being funny, and it's not just about having a great rapport with his fellow coaches. It's about having it all. And he proves that time and time again.

I'm not saying he's the best coach on The Voice, because that's a highly debatable argument that I have within myself all the time while watching the series. But he sure has had some memorable moments on the series.

1. When He Attempted A Blind Audition

This is just one of the many ways Levine has proven he's easily one of the funniest (if not the funniest) Voice judges/coaches on the show. He knows how to have a good time and how to actually be in the mindset of the competition when it matters most. That balance can be difficult to accomplish, but he does it very well.

2. When He Bonds With His Team's Mentors

In this case it's Ryan Tedder, who I genuinely believed helped Levine get his mojo back and eventually win Season 5 with Tessanne Chin. These two made an incredible team during coaching, but Levine is always really great at listening to the mentors and soaking in their advice to his team, and then emulating and reciprocating that advice with his own balance and style.

3. When He Gives Honest Critiques

I don't think Levine can be considered too nice or too mean about his critiques. He's always truthful, but in a way that still feels warm-hearted — like a friend or family member trying to bring out the best in someone. The compassion is always present, but it doesn't deter from the message he's saying.

4. When He Fights For A Contestant

This is just the most awesome thing ever. If people think Shelton works hard to get a contestant on his team, Levine works ten times harder. And it's always just the best, especially because it instills extra competition in the other coaches. Just look at how much he sold Javier Colon right from the get go in Season 1 — the contestant who ended up winning on Adam's team.

5. When His Bromance With Blake Shelton Rears Its Beautiful Head

This is a well-known, well-documented fact. Levine and Shelton are an OTP in the bromantic-est sense. They are pretty much the perfect besties and its easy to see why from this clip alone.

6. He Loves Showtunes

It's just the best. The best.
