With Instagram’s ability to autoplay and loop like Vine, it opens up many different creative possibilities to utilize the video function now. For example, Stuart Weitzman is creating Cinemagraphic ads for his shoes from an upcoming collaboration. Weitzman partnered up with the married couple from Ann Street Studio, Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg, and their advertisements are going to be cinema-graphically amazing.
These cinemagraphic ads are a combination of photography and video. They’re also Beck and Burg’s signature medium when it comes to their ads. If you follow them on Instagram, then you're probably used to the "Cinemagraphy," but if you aren't, you're going to find them super fun to watch. Basically it’s like looking an epic GIF that you get mesmerized by and can’t see where the loop starts or ends, so you end up watching it repeat over and over for a good five minutes.
Weitzman, Beck, and Burg came up with a total of four ads that highlight the shoes from their collab: the LOVEFRINGE stiletto, the MYSLIDE sandal, the SPARTA gladiator, and the FRINGETIMES bootie. This Instagram campaign will be going on for two weeks and both brands are looking into putting out their advertisements out on Facebook.
