What If Daenerys Worked At A Fast Food Joint?
In a story about the wrongest dad to ever dad, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke told Vogue UK that when she first realized she wanted to be an actress when she grew up, her dad told her to set her sights much, much lower: "When I told my dad I wanted to be an actress, he replied that there was only one line I needed to learn, 'Do you want fries with that?'" Yikes — even Jon Snow would find that cold, and he lives in a literal ice fortress. Clarke obviously proved her father wrong as she now portrays one of the most badass and beloved characters on Game Of Thrones, Daenerys Targaryen — but, Clarke's story does make me wonder: What if Game of Thrones' Daenerys worked at a fast food restaurant?
I know, I know — it's just about as comical an idea as Jon Snow attending a dinner party. But stay with me here, it's an intriguing thought. First of all, it would obviously be In-N-Out, the most superior of all burger chains (sorry, Shake Shack devotees). But what kind of employee would she be? Would she be a team player? Would she wear her hairnet and her nametag at all time, or would she sneak out for extra breaks to smoke cigarettes and text behind the building?
Here's how it might go down in burger town:
She'd Have Some New Menu Suggestions
Ever the adventurous eater, Dany would probably try to shake up the standard burger and fries fare with some more... exotic offerings. Stallion heart, anyone?
She'd Have No Patience For Workplace Inequality
You best believe Dany is going to take home just as much as the dudes on the fryer — and she would take no lip from anyone.
She'd Lead The Revolt
Look, minimum wage is ridiculous, and no one knows that better than fast-food slingers. Especially considering how hard they work! Dany would absolutely take things into her own hands and demand fare wages for everyone.
She'd Totally Blow Off Customer Complaints
Dany will always win, because she has dragons.
She Wouldn't Stand For Creeps
Again — Dany has dragons.
She'd Go Out With A Bang
I would not want to be Daenerys' manager when she finally decided to quit the grind, because you just know that she'd go out in a fiery, epic mic-drop. (Did I mention she has dragons?)
