Beyonce's "Die With You" Is Actually About Pizza

by Kaitlin Reilly

If you're a part of the Bey Hive, your probably freaking about about Beyoncé's new song, "Die With You" — even though there's a real chance that even the most diehard Bey fans haven't heard it yet. "Die With You" is currently only available on brand-new music streaming service TIDAL, an artist-owned service that boasts 16 celebrity stakeholders including Jay Z and Beyoncé herself. If you're not ready to shell out the $9.99 per month that the premium service asks for (and aren't quite ready to commit to the 30-day trial) you may not have heard this tune yet. However, the good news is, you don't have to miss out — I've analyzed the lyrics and have determined exactly what this song's deal is. Here's a clue: Beyoncé's "Die With You" lyrics are about everyone's universal love of pizza.

Yes, many people have speculated that "Die With You" is about Beyonce's love of her husband Jay. I guess it would make sense — the song was unveiled on Bey and Jay's wedding anniversary, after all, and the sweet video released on TIDAL features Bey singing to Jay. Still, I'm not buying it — the lyrics of Beyoncé's tune refer to so much more than just her relationship with Jay. They talk about a love that we all have for the best food in the entire pyramid. I'm pretty much 115% convinced that "Die With You" is about pizza, and if you take just a quick look at these lyrics, I think you'll agree.

"I don't have a reason to cry and I have every reason to smile"

My feelings anytime someone suggests delivery.

"I don't have a reason to be, if I can't be with you"

How dare you suggest that maybe I don't need a second slice?

"No I don't need hands if I don't get to keep you warm"

I mean, I'll settle for leftover cold pizza, but that's only because it's still pizza.

"I don't really need these fingers if I can't touch your spine"

Can I eat your crust?

"I wake up so I can sleep with you"

I wake up so I can remove the pizza box from my bed and nuke a slice in the microwave, but that's pretty much what Bey was getting at, I think.

"I wake up just so I can see with you"

Because the first look at the cheesy goodness is always the best.

"I live so I can die with you"

Death by food coma. Not a bad way to go. Just sayin'.
