'Breaking Bad.' On Ice. It's Real.

by Alanna Bennett

When you were watching Breaking Bad, did you ever pause and think "You know, this is great and all, but what I really think we're missing here are some axel jumps"? Because that's pretty much my set reaction to any and all Emmy-winning TV shows. Well now we've all got a weird fever-dream come true, because Breaking Ice , an ice-skating Breaking Bad tribute, is a thing that exists. And apparently Vince Gilligan helped out?

The video itself — which features characters dressed as Walt (and Heisenberg), Jesse, Skinny Pete, Badger, Hank, and more — was made by Breaking Bad assistant editor Sharidan Williams-Sotelo. The show's composer Dave Porter was also there, and he even composed something new specifically for the homage.

Best of all? Apparently the cameraman was someone pretty special, too: Breaking Bad's showrunner himself, Vince Gilligan.

"I told Vince about my idea from the get-go. Vince was incredibly supportive," Sotelo said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "Never in my wildest dreams did I think this vision would become reality. I mean what show does a figure skating interpretation of itself, and gets it blessed by the creator of the series? The reason Breaking Ice exists is because Vince is the man!"

Aw!

Just watch it. Just...Just watch it.
