Lea Michele & Matthew Paetz Celebrate Their First Meeting Anniversary & Fans Are Wonderfully Supportive — PHOTO

It's been a year since Lea Michele met her boyfriend Matthew Paetz, and the pair is happier than ever. The two originally met last April on the set of her music video for "On My Way," and hit it off. Paetz has been by Michele's side for the past year, and has helped her recover from losing Cory Monteith two years ago. These days, Michele seems to be doing really well, and it's lovely to see her so happy.

She and Paetz celebrated their anniversary with friends, and Michele documented the whole thing on Instagram. "Dinner last night with these lovely folks! Celebrating one year since @hannahluxdavis directed me in my video On My Way!" she captioned a photo of Paetz and her eating dinner with their two friends. Then she followed it up with a special tribute to just Paetz. "This guy's pretty great too..." she wrote in the caption for the photo of her and Paetz hugging.

As sad as it was for Michele to lose Monteith, I'm glad she's still finding joy in her life. Although initially many criticized her for moving on, these days fans are all on her side. The comment section of her Instagram post was filled with Gleeks sharing their love for Michele and her boyfriend. "Such a cute couple. Cory was great but Lea has found happiness again and that is what matters," one person wrote. "Cuteness! And to everyone mentioning Cory, I know we all miss him (and Lea miss him even more) BUT we should be happy for her! Happy that she's happy again!" said another.

Michele is an incredibly strong woman who overcame an enormous tragedy. I'm sure that Monteith would be glad that she's found love and happiness again, and I'm glad that Glee fans are on her side. She deserves all their support and more.
