16 Women 'People' Should Name "Most Beautiful" In 2016

The amazing Sandra Bullock was just named People's Most Beautiful Woman for 2015, to the surprise of no one. A well-served title, Bullock is a Hollywood veteran who won our hearts playing characters in films like While You Were Sleeping (1995) and Miss Congenitally (2000), and, at 50 years old, Bullock apparently does not age. Since we finally know who our Most Beautiful Woman for 2015 is, I thought I'd look ahead to see who should grace the 2016 cover of People's Most Beautiful issue.

Sophia Bush

I’ve have a girl crush on the stunning Sophia Bush since she played everyone’s favorite bad girl, Brooke Davis, on my favorite teen soap One Tree Hill. You can now find her kicking butt and taking names as Detective Erin Lindsay on Chicago P.D.

Gabrielle Union

I’m still find it baffling that Gabrielle Union is 42-years old! A Hollywood veteran, Union has been blessing us with her beauty since the teen classic She’s All That (1999). Today you can catch her on Being Mary Jane, as the highly successful and neurotic Mary Jane Paul.

January Jones

As I tune in each Sunday to the final season of Mad Men, I’ve realized that January Jones is just as flawless as she was during the first season which aired in 2007. Though her character Betty Francis has gone through numerous changes over the years, Jones has always remained glamorous and stunning, fitting perfectly into the 1960’s era.

Ava DuVernay

As the first African-American female director whose film was nominated for a ‘Best Picture’ Academy Award, Ava DuVernay is in a lane of her own. Did you know that Selma isn’t the only movie in her filmography? Check out I Will Follow (2010) and Middle of Nowhere (2012). I promise, you won’t be disappointed.

Blake Lively

I don’t know about you, but I’m ridiculously excited to see The Age of Adaline. I’ve always been a sucker for historical romances. It doesn’t hurt that the film’s star is a timeless beauty. Can you believe that Blake Lively just had a baby?!

Kerry Washington

Though her television character Olivia Pope is just barely holding it together on Scandal, Kerry Washington is the definition of eloquence and poise. Throw Ms. Pope’s fashion sense in there, and you have sheer perfection.

Ashley Graham

Graham is taking the world by storm as the face of Lane Bryant’s “I’m No Angel” Campaign. It’s so important to promote body-love because we all come in different shapes and sizes. Ashley Graham is not only sparking a change in the fashion industry, she’s also stunning.

June Ambrose

Celebrity Stylist June Ambrose is fierce, fashionable and fun. This gorgeous mother of two proves that you can really have it all. Whether she’s globetrotting with her clients or hanging out with her kids, her Instagram is full of gems that display her beautiful spirit.

Christina Hendricks

It’s the walk! Hendricks plays sultry, curvacious Joan Harris on Mad Men, a woman who constantly brings men to their knees. We could all learn a thing or two from Hendricks, who is actually a natural blonde.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw

I first discovered Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Belle (2013), a stunning story set in 18th century England about race, love and class. Mbatha-Raw went on to play depressed superstar Noni in Beyond the Lights (2014), and she has just been cast as Plumette in Disney’s up-coming live action Beauty and the Beast.

Tracee Ellis Ross

It has to be difficult to make a name for yourself when your mother is Diana Ross, but Tracee Ellis Ross seemed to have no trouble doing so. First starring as Joan Clayton on the long running sitcom Girlfriends, you can now find Ross playing Dr. Rainbow Johnson a mother of four on black-ish. Her hair is also just ridiculously amazing.

Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet has had my heart since she was Rose, trapped on the Titanic. The Meryl Streep of our generation, Winslet has brought grace and poise to every role that she’s taken on. She has proven to us that you can still be beautiful without all the nips and tucks Hollywood may try and pressure you into.

Sofia Vergara

The highest paid actress on television is not only gorgeous, she’s also hilarious. We’ve been watching Sofia Vergara on Modern Family for years as the ballsy and witty Gloria. With her upcoming movie Hot Pursuit where she co-stars Reese Witherspoon, and her sultry Vanity Fair cover, Vergara is proving to us that she is only just heating up.

Emilia Clarke

She is Khaleesi after all! On Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke’s character Daenerys Targaryen has shown us that the battle for power is certainly not a man’s game. The natural brunette has also proven that whether you’re blonde or brunette, you can still have all the fun.

Zoë Kravitz

As her mother’s doppelgänger, it’s easy to imagine Zoë Kravitz as Denise Huxtable. However, Kravitz has carved out her own place in Hollywood, first as Angel in X-Men: First Class (2011) and then as Christina in the Divergent series. You can catch her next in the highly-anticipated Mad Max and the upcoming film Dope.

Bellamy Young

As the First Lady that we all hate to love on Scandal, Bellamy Young slays as Mellie Grant. In her many shades of red, Young has shaped Mellie into a woman who may be continually overlooked, but who should never be underestimated.
