When Is 'Avengers 3' Coming Out?

by Aramide Tinubu

Avid Marvel fans are gleefully awaiting Thursday's midnight premiere of Avengers: Age of Ultron . Since the trailer hit the Internet a few months ago, there has been a frenzy of anticipation. The numerous film trailers, as well as the various rumors surrounding the film's plot, have already helped the film gross over $200 million overseas. So when is Avengers 3 film coming out in theaters? Marvel will release Avengers: Infinity War — Part 1 on May 4, 2018.

From the looks of the Age of Ultron trailer, the movie boasts lots of blasts, destruction, and mass sex appeal. (These are definitely heroes that I enjoy looking at.) In addition to fights and destruction, The Blacklist's James Spader has been cast as Ultron, and the man can certainly play a smooth villain. He's joined by new additions like Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlett Witch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the second version of Quicksilver in the MCU, following Evan Peters' turn as a young Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Since Marvel films are currently slated for release through 2019, we are poised for more adventures featuring an all new Avengers line-up, as well as new adventures starring our six faves. Age of Ultron will give us a glimpse into what that new line-up will look like, and into how we will say goodbye to the old roster. With all of this excitement, we are bound to feel withdrawals as soon as we leave the theater. The wait until 2018 just seems like too much.

I know it seems unbelievably far in the future (trust me, I know, I'll nearly be 30 years old), but there is good news as well. Marvel has taken pity on us. Ant-Man will be released this summer, on July 17. Then, of course, several Marvel films including Captain America: Civil War, will be released between the premiere of Age of Ultron and 2018's Infinity War — Part 1. That's plenty of time to fall in love with the new characters, and to become even further invested in you favorites.

Personally, I'm most excited for Black Panther starring Chadwick Boseman, which is currently slated for release on July 6, 2018. If that doesn't soothe your anxious heart, there's always Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC, or Marvel's Daredevil on Netflix. Though we are a few years away from the Avengers 3, there is still a whole lot to be excited about. Image: Marvel
