Yolanda Fights Lyme Disease With A Great Outlook

by Marenah Dobin

Aside from being a cast member on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a guilty pleasure that I am weirdly loyal to, Yolanda Foster is a pretty inspirational person. She has a very positive attitude, a loving family, keen fashion sense, and so much more. Personally, I think Foster is the best housewife in the whole Real Housewives franchise. Another great thing about Yolanda Foster is the way she has been handling her difficult struggle with Lyme Disease. There have been plenty of ups and downs, but she has been trying the best she can to make it through. So what is the latest in Yolanda Foster's Lyme Disease battle and how is she feeling these days?

Sadly, there has been a lot going on for Foster these days. If you're a fan of Real Housewives, you are no doubt aware of the reunion specials. The reunion is aired in separate parts on multiple nights in an effort to get the cast to rehash every problem from the season, so it was pretty unusual for Yolanda to depart from the show before the first part of the episode even finished filming. Real Housewives reunions are a pretty big deal, so if Yolanda did not appear for the whole reunion because of her health issues, she must be seriously ailing.

If you follow Yolanda on social media, you can see that she has not stopped fighting. Her search for a cure has taken her all over the world. She has had treatments in Mexico, Singapore, and is now in Germany. In fact, she recently spoke to CR Fashion Book and shared her Mother's Day plans: "I am currently at a clinic in Germany for treatment, so I will be stopping in Holland on my way home to be with my mom for Mother's Day — something I haven't done in 20 years, so I am really looking forward to having that time with her"

Foster's RHOBH costar Brandi Glanville spoke to Us Weekly about her condition in a recent interview, saying, "I talked to her this morning, she's in Germany. She's very very sick still."

In January, Yolanda revealed that she had lost the ability to read and write. She wrote on her Bravo blog, "It feels like someone came in and confiscated my brain and tied my hands behind my back to just watch and see life go by without me participating in it." She has kept her friends updated with daily Instagram posts about her condition, some of which you can view below.

It might look like Yolanda Foster is down and out, but she is an open-minded person with a fighting spirit. She is determined to make the best out of this situation for herself and anyone else affected by the horrors of Lyme Disease.
