Now that Britney Spears is done trying to scare us with low-fi Halloween videos, it's time for something much much better: Another single. Yup, Britney Spears' "Perfume" has been released for listening, and it feels like classic Britney.
Our first thought upon listening to "Perfume" — which will be released on Spears' Britney Jean album Dec. 3 and which is available for pre-order now — was that the vocals and general vibe of the track reminded us of songs from Spears' earlier albums. This one's not vampy Britney — though that's always fun — but rather the sweet pink-tinted Britney that goes pretty well with the new single artwork that was released with the song (and which you can see below).
Spears released the song via facebook today, commenting that "This is like sharing a piece of my heart."
"Everyone's been through an insecure moment in a relationship that's left them vulnerable and I think this song captures that," she continued in an interview with E! News.
