Alicia Vikander Is Louis Vuitton's New Face

by Eliza Florendo

Alicia Vikander's current status: Kicking life's ass like it's her job. Well, it kinda is in her new film, "Ex Machina," but IRL, she's starred in films like "Anna Karenina" and "A Royal Affair," and is only moving forward with more and more roles in upcoming projects. And it seems as if she's making advances in the world of fashion too, as it was confirmed to Style.com that Alicia Vikander is Louis Vuitton's newest face.

While at Louis Vuitton's 2016 cruise show in Palm Springs on Wednesday, Vikander confirmed her newest venture, though there have been no official announcements made. Vikander joins the likes of Michelle Williams, Sofia Coppola, and Jennifer Lopez as the band's past and current faces.

Are we really surprised? Her red carpet looks are so, so fabulous, from her Ferragamo bejeweled gown with sheer cut-outs to her Chanel white frilly gown. And casual wear? She rocks slouchy sweater and trouser combos, and furry boxy coats paired with black skinnies and booties. Can you say effortlessly chic?

According to Style.com, Vikander has sat front row at the past two Louis Vuitton shows, and even wore the label at this year's Met Gala. This partnership seems oh-so-fitting (no pun intended!). Looks like 2015 is the year of Alicia Vikander, who's set to star and promote eight films before the year's close, including "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." and "Tulip Fever." But no matter where these following months take her, she'll be going in style. Congratulations, and cheers to you Alicia!
