Similar to Marc by Marc Jacobs folding into the main line, Chloé seems to be strengthening the bond between their little sister line to their main one, too. The See by Chloe fall campaign's behind-the-scenes footage, posted exclusively on Style.com, shows the usual quirky, youthful spirit of the sister line, but is also reminiscent of Chloe’s usual comfy, laid-back look. This is because See by Chloe’s Fall campaign was supervised by the creative director of Chloe, Clare Waight Keller.
Waight Keller told Style.com that, “working on both collections creates a very interesting dialogue for me as a designer.” With Chloe, there’s definitely a more sophisticated feel to the line, but adding in a touch of childish naivete was probably a fun and new challenge for Waight Keller to tackle. In the behind-the-scenes footage, I feel like Waight Keller captured both essences perfectly. The footage revealed various models that described themselves in one word such as, “diverse, energetic, in-love, 'naturel' or natural, sentimental, modern, curious, sarcastic, sleepy, artistic, indecisive, generous, fun, and romantic.”
Some of the words seem more on the mature Chloé side while as others are clearly fun and upbeat like See by Chloé, which was definitely an intriguing dialogue that Waight Keller created.
