Watch Jimmy Fallon & Charlize Theron Play Dress Up

What never ceases to amaze me about Jimmy Fallon is that he always manages to get his guests to try out new things, even as crazy as the idea might sound. On Monday, Jimmy Fallon and Charlize Theron dressed each other on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which resulted in some pretty hilarious outfits were hilarious. The ensembles were out there, sure, but they definitely paid homage to some greats in fashion history.

Fallon wore a pink pantsuit, leopard vest, auburn bowl cut wig, and pink-rimmed sunglasses. His shoes were leopard booties that had dice in the heels. At one point, he strutted out from behind his desk to show the full look and even did a little jig. Werkkk! He wore those shoes well — almost a little too well perhaps?

Theron wore gold lamé balloon pants, a speckled gray blazer with shoulder pads and a gold epaulette with dollar bling, a metallic rainbow top, and a tiny black top hat with what looks like a clown head hanging on the front. On her feet were black platform shoes with gold drippings. Theron's typical blonde tresses were hidden under a massive sandy brown crimped wig. The hair was so overwhelming it even made Theron drop the f-bomb on TV.

At one point, Fallon asked, "Am I a man or a woman?" so Theron christened his character Rosetta McClintock. Fallon then dubbed Theron's character Bonanza, a fun gal who "played with Prince for a while." Eventually, McClintock invited Bonanza to pick up the bass, and the two dance the night away to The Roots.

If you're looking at Fallon and scratching your head thinking, "I know that guy from somewhere...," could it possibly be an ode to Mr. Elton John?

With a little mix of Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka?

Now, when it comes to Theron's outfit, honestly the actress could wear a burlap sack and she'd still look amazing. But her Tonight Show outfit is definitely a blend of two greats. Top half is Boy George...

...and bottom half MC Hammer pants.

The bit was hilarious, and I can't wait to see what other celeb dress-ups we can tease out of the show. Just try and imagine what Lady Gaga would envision for Fallon. Or maybe even crazier than that, could Fallon get Momma Monster to step out as a stripped down Stephanie Germanotta? Now that would be amazing.
